The ROOT Method Virtual Workshop
A 5-part, 1-hour series you can join from the office, the beach, or anywhere in between. You don't just learn the method — you leave having used it, with a plan and the momentum to follow through.

Sound familiar?
You've been told you need to bring in work, but nobody showed you how.
You start strong, then a deadline hits and it all quietly stops.
You've been told you need to bring in work, but nobody showed you how.
Every piece of BD advice you've found was written for salespeople.
You'd like to try an approach before committing to months of coaching.
You'd rather build a few real relationships than work a room.
What happens in the workshop
In a small cohort of twelve, I'll walk you step by step through Reflect → Organize → Outreach → Tend.
The goal is a business development approach that actually feels clear, human and doable — one that fits around real project work instead of competing with it.
You get direct instruction from me, plus built-in accountability from the group. That second part matters more than it sounds. Knowing eleven other people will ask how it went is usually what gets the email sent.
By the end, you'll have a ROOT-aligned plan and the momentum to follow through.
Five sessions, week by week

Reconnect with the core motivation and inspiration behind your work.

Week 2
Dream about the future of your work, and shape a simple plan to bring it to life.
Outreach
Week 3
Connect with people who inspire you, for relationships that benefit both sides.
Tend
Week 4
Nurture those relationships, and find meaningful ways to give.
Your plan
Week 5
Pull it all together into one ROOT-aligned plan you'll actually use.

Why it's capped at twelve
Big enough to learn from each other. Small enough that nobody hides.
In a webinar of two hundred, it's easy to nod along and do nothing. With twelve, everyone speaks, everyone is known, and everyone gets asked how their outreach went. That's the difference between learning the method and actually using it.
Is this for you?
A good fit if…
You're an architect, landscape architect, engineer or contractor expected to bring in work
You want to try the ROOT Method before committing to coaching
You'll show up for five weeks and do the small things in between
You'd value hearing how others in your industry approach it
Probably not if…
You need new projects this month — relationships take longer
You want to watch at your own pace (the online course is coming for that)
You're after scripts, templates or lead lists
You can't commit an hour a week for five weeks

Questions about the workshop
-
To confirm with Emily — deadlines happen, and there's a way to catch up so you don't fall behind the group.
-
No. Just turn up to the first session. The worksheets are sent beforehand.
-
It's the same method in a different format. The workshop covers all four stages in five weeks with a group. Coaching goes deeper on your own situation, over months.
-
Very little, deliberately. A couple of small actions each week — the kind you can do in the gaps of a normal working day.
-
To confirm — each cohort lists its time and time zone above.
-
Yes, and many do — it's professional development. Invoicing details to confirm.
