about me
Hi, I’m Emily — connector, coach, and landscape-architect-turned-business-development guru. I help AEC leaders and mission‑driven organizations build trust‑based partnerships that actually move the needle: more aligned opportunities, stronger relationships, and impact you can measure.
My path started outside — trees, trails, sketchbooks — and led me to landscape architecture. After a dozen years designing places, I realized my favorite part was the people: the partners, clients, and communities who make the work real. That curiosity pulled me into business development and eventually into creating the OSS Method (Orient, Systemize, Seek): a simple, repeatable way to turn authentic relationships into results.
I’m casual by default, strategic when it counts, and allergic to overcomplication. We’ll pick the few moves that matter and do them consistently. Along the way, we’ll measure what matters, celebrate the small wins, and keep the work values‑aligned.
A few things I care about: environmental stewardship, inclusive design, community uplift, and conversations that are honest and kind. I’ve led BD at Suffolk, Studio Outside, and TBG, taught human‑centered design at SMU MADI, and built partnerships across architecture, development, and civic spaces.
If you’re ready to build a partnership engine that feels human and performs, let’s talk. Book an intro call — or start with the OSS Starter Kit and my newsletter. Either way, I’m glad you’re here.
OSS METHOD
What this looks like in practice:
Orient: get crystal clear on what matters most so you’re chasing the right opportunities.
Systemize: install operating rhythms — goal setting, outreach cadence, and stewardship — so momentum sticks.
Seek: activate warm‑intro pathways and tell a crisp story that converts.
